If this is your first sugaring experience, please make sure your hair growth is at least 1/4
inch long (about 5 - 7 days growth) prior to your first appointment.
Come with clean dry skin. Your skin must be free of any excess oils, lotion, deodorant or any
other skin care products on the area of the skin to be sugared.
Please avoid the sun for 24 hours prior to your appointment, as sunburned skin
cannot be sugared.
If you are inclined to be pain-sensitive, the use of a painkiller 30 minutes before your appointment
will help ease the sensitivity of the area and will make you more relaxed.
If your skin is more sensitive, you may experience temporary redness. This reaction
is normal, and most commonly disappears within an hour after treatment.
Avoid touching your freshly sugared area with dirty hands.
Hot baths or showers after sugaring may increase skin sensitivity and is not advised.
Avoid working out for 12 - 24 hours after your service as perspiration may irritate
the skin directly after treatment.
Avoid sun tanning for at least 24 hours after your sugaring appointment, as sugared
skin will be more sensitive to the UV rays.
Exfoliate gently 2 to 3 days a week to help prevent ingrown hairs and breakouts - this
will help to keep your skin in good condition between sugaring appointments. Use a
clean dry cloth to exfoliate the skin and remember to moisturize your skin as well.
Please do not exfoliate the day before, the day of, and the day after a treatment, as skin
can easily become irritated.
